King Sends Condolences to Chinese President for China Eastern Airlines Crash

PHNOM PENH: The King of Cambodia, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, has sent condolences to the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the recent China Eastern Airlines plane crash that cost the lives of 132 people.

In a message dated Tuesday, 22 March, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni wrote, "On this occasion of national mourning, Her Majesty Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, the Royal family and all Cambodians would like to express their deepest condolences to His Excellency (Xi Jinping) and the families of the victims."

On Monday, 21 March, a China Eastern Airlines flight with 132 people on board crashed in a mountainous area in southern China's Guangxi, Autonomous Region, while flying from Kunming city in Yunnan to Guangzhou, according to the China Civil Aviation Administration.
